Which file do I need, phone or desktop?
Phone gives you 1024 x 1536 pixels in a tall 2:3 shape, made for a lock screen or home screen. Desktop gives you 1536 x 1024 pixels in a 3:2 landscape shape, made for a laptop or monitor. Using the wrong one is what causes stretching, so match the orientation to the device.
Do black wallpapers save battery on every phone?
Only on OLED and AMOLED phones, where each black pixel is genuinely off. Most flagship phones from recent years use OLED. On an LCD phone the backlight stays on at the same brightness no matter what is displayed, so a black wallpaper looks great but changes nothing about battery life.
Can I print one?
